Our media authenticity policy

  • We only name a facility in a caption when the source supports it. Otherwise we describe the photo generally.
  • Every photograph is openly licensed. We checked each file’s own licence page, not a general assumption.
  • Diagrams are labelled as diagrams and never presented as photographs of a real site.
  • Videos are linked on their publisher’s site. We do not download or rehost them.
  • No photograph on this site is AI-generated. Diagrams were built in code with AI assistance (v0) under the author’s direction and checked against the cited sources.

Scientific claims are cited separately in the Research Library.
